0.6 Lecturer / Course Tutor – Foundation Studies & Supported Learning

As part of the ongoing development of the Foundation Studies & Supported Learning curriculum offer at HLC, we are seeking to complement our existing delivery team with a part time lecturer and course tutor in this well established area of provision.

The role will involve the delivery of units and subjects across the Foundation & Supported Learning curriculum area, according to your specialisms.  This will include the delivery and embedded development of personal and social development skills, communication and employability skills and basic English and maths skills to full time students on Entry Level and Level 1 Foundation Studies & Supported Learning programmes and to act as the personal and course tutor to one or more full time cohorts.   

Applicants should have, or be currently working towards, a relevant teaching qualification and have some teaching or learning support experience in either a school or further education environment.  Equally as important, the successful candidate will have an empathy with, and passion for, supporting and progressing disadvantaged young people and be willing to go that extra mile in meeting and responding to student needs as and when they arise.
