The Creative Advertising and Brand programme at Plymouth College is a highly specialist programme, which seeks to support students to gain the required skills to enable them to enter this exciting and dynamic industry. The programme is based around the skills of the creative team, that of Copyrighter and Art Director with students becoming increasingly specialist as they progress through the programme.
This is a relatively new programme for Plymouth College of Art and builds on the colleges long running experience of running Fashion, Media, and Marketing, Graphic Design, Film and Photography BA (Hons) programmes. We are intensely ambitious for this programme, and seek to appoint a Senior Lecturer who shares this vision. We intend the programme to build an outstanding reputation for developing highly creative and employable graduates. With student success in international competitions, a wide range of high profile industry placements, live assignments with local, national and international clients, all helping to establish the programme to be amongst the leaders in its field.
We are seeking to appoint a highly motivated and creative individual to join the college. Ideally the successful candidate will:
- be able to demonstrate experience as a creative, either an Art Director or a Copywriter,
- have experience of managing undergraduate programmes and;
- have a track record of inspirational teaching at degree level.
Applicants should have experience of an agency environment and should be able to show a solid understanding of Art Direction and or Copywriting, including skills in ideation, creative writing and visualization techniques as well as be fully conversant with relevant software and media.
