About the College

Background to the post

Business Studies courses offered by the team are popular in the college and is a growing area. Current courses across the team include Business Studies A Level, Business Studies BTEC Level 2 and 3, Economics A Level, Finance Diploma, ICT BTEC Level 3 and IT A2.  From September the college will also be offering Computer Science A Level and a Foundation Degree in Business Management.  Consequently, we are looking for a highly skilled, experienced and successful Business Studies teacher who can contribute effectively across the range of Business courses and potentially contribute to Economics, Computer Science or IT.  We would expect further discussions around this to take place at interview. The staff work very closely together and the successful applicant would be expected to work as an enthusiastic team member to meet objectives set out in the team plan. It is essential that the successful candidate is keen to use a variety of approaches for teaching and learning in order to appeal to a wide range of student abilities and learning styles. Evidence of the ability to develop productive working relationships with students, a proven interest of contribution to subject based extra-curricular enrichment opportunities and skills to use new technologies in teaching will be highly beneficial.
