The Hampshire County Federation of Young Farmers Clubs (HFYFC) is a charity (No. 302002) established to promote and advance the education of young members of the public in agriculture and rural life. The charity is very conscious of its remit to offer its members a safe environment to enjoy competitions, social events and training.

HFYFC consists of 10 local clubs throughout the county totaling approx. 150 members. The membership age is 10-26 years old and there is a rough 50:50 split between male and female members. The federation was established in 1945 and has grown over the recent decades to become a very important part of young farmer’s lives.
We are currently looking to improve the events and training offered to our members and increase the financial income for the county and therefore need a part time administrator to facilitate this.

The advertised job is a part time position with a wage of between £9 hour, based at Sparsholt College, in the YFC Office. The office hours are 9am – 5pm, 2 days/week but this may change with seasonal workloads.

There are currently no other employees within the federation but there are many volunteers that help with the organisation of events. The main roles of this job are the administration of the county, assisting members to organise events and completing membership returns annually details of which can be found later in this document.

The ideal candidate would be a self-starter, self-motivated and have a keen interest in the countryside and agriculture. They would have good time management and be able to work well to deadlines. The candidate must be able to work with young people.
