Programme Manager for Employability

Based at St. Albans Oaklands Campus

The Programme Manager will lead and manage employability programmes, ESOL and Adult Online Programmes, ensuring student progression into employment. This role involves overseeing learner and employer engagement, achieving key KPIs, and enhancing team quality. The Programme Manager will build relationships with referral agencies, support employer engagement, and encourage curriculum innovation. Additional responsibilities include managing staff performance, maintaining learner data, and ensuring compliance with quality assurance requirements.

Required Skills:

Essential:

• A teaching qualification (Cert Ed/PGCE)

• A degree in a relevant subject

• Recent teaching experience

• Excellent communication, organisational, and analytical skills

• Commitment to inclusive learning and safeguarding

Desirable:

• Experience in managing employability programmes

• Knowledge of the English further education and skills systems

• Understanding of apprenticeship programmes' quality assurance and funding requirements

• Experience in successfully planning and delivering adult education programmes
