Work Placement Officer
Selby College, with expectation to support across the Wakefield and Castleford Campuses
Do you have a passion for supporting students with work placements?
We are recruiting for a Work Placement Officer to join our department where you will be responsible for co-ordinating and arranging work placements for students at Selby College, providing support when needed at Wakefield and Castleford colleges.
As a Work Placement Officer your duties will include:
- Sourcing and exploring opportunities for student work placements with vocationally relevant employers.
- Building strong relationships with such employers and liaise on candidate suitability.
- Promoting the value of work experience and work/ industry placements with students, enhancing progression opportunities.
- Support the delivery of readiness for work experience through group activity.
- Visiting students out on their work placement to conduct progress checks.
The role of the Work Placement Officer is varied, and every day is different with new challenges. You will get to meet and support students and employers as you co-ordinate the work placement process.
