The role:

Gower College is seeking to appoint two Schools support worker to contribute to the efficient and effective operation of the exciting 14-16 Schools programme.

  • Part-time (20 - 25 hours per week)
  • Term-time (36 weeks per annum)
  • One role is permanent, the other is 1 year fixed term
  • Based on 20 hours per week, pro rata salary would be £10,107 per annum (£23,403 FTE)
  • Tycoch campus

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and mentor young people, some with challenging behavior supporting them to achieve their full potential
  • Liaise with the school staff and College lecturers, working together to create an effective environment for the learners

About you:

  • Maths and English GCSEs: A - C Grade or equivalent  
  • Experience of working with young people in a similar job role
  • Good understanding of safeguarding and supporting learners with additional needs
  • Confident, resilient, excellent communication and interpersonal skills
