Digital Learning Technologist
Based across WGC & SA (main base to be confirmed)
The role of the Digital Learning Technologist is to support students, staff and partner organisations with accessing and using immersive and simulation technologies. This role will encompass using immersive technologies across all the college’s curriculum areas. Ensuring that all immersive and simulation technologies are well maintained and ready for learning will be a key part of the role, but also to support subject staff to facilitate learning within the college’s immersive spaces and curriculum areas. This role will be required to deliver immersive technology induction to both staff and students in a 1:1 and group-based scenarios – championing and promoting digital, immersive and simulation technologies throughout the college.
Required Skills
- Relevant degree or postgraduate degree and relevant demonstrable experience.
- Training or teaching qualification would be advantageous.
- Experience in educational technology, digital learning, or a related field,
- Proven experience in implementing, and managing digital learning solutions, preferably in an educational setting.
- A good understanding and working use of learning platforms, (ideally Canvas) and associated learning tools, utilised to develop digital materials and learning content/activities to agreed style guides.
- Creative problem-solving abilities and a passion for exploring innovative approaches to learning and development.
