The Sixth Form at Uxbridge College is responsible primarily for the delivery of A Level, AS, GCSE and BTEC Science courses and is based at the Uxbridge site.   We have a track record of achieving strong results which places the Sixth Form in the top 10% of colleges nationally for A level progress.   History and Politics were some of our best performing subjects in 2022 and 2023 with significant numbers achieving high grades. For all History and Politics qualifications offered, we follow the Pearson Edexcel specifications.

We are looking for a knowledgeable and dedicated lecturer of history and politics to continue the good work of the outgoing staff member. We would welcome applications from both experienced teachers or enthusiastic new entrants to the profession.  You would teach on AS and A level History and Politics and GCSE History.

You will possess a degree in History or Politics or a closely related subject, and have teaching experience in the subject area up to A level, with a track record of excellent teaching and learning.   You should have good communication and interpersonal skills and be able to engage and inspire young people aged 16-19.   If you do not already possess a teaching qualification, the College will support you to obtain the Level 5 teaching qualification.
