28 hours per week (4 days), term time based, 42 weeks per year.  

We are seeking an experienced Technician for the Art and Design department who has experience in photography and printmaking. The role is for 28 hours per week, over 4 days and term time based (42 weeks per academic year). 

The successful candidate will provide appropriate support to the work of students and lecturers in the Art and Design Department.  The post-holder will assist with preparation of materials, demonstration of techniques and maintenance of equipment in all our art and design areas, specifically Photography and Printmaking, but assist in other areas of Creative Industries as necessary. They will supervise classes of learners in Active Learning Facilitator sessions in the teaching areas and in the event of short unplanned teacher absence.

Richmond upon Thames College is part of the Harrow, Richmond and Uxbridge College Group (HRUC) and is one of London’s most successful Further Education Colleges providing education and training to 16-19 year old’s and adults from across Richmond, London and Surrey, for over 80 years. We have opened a new building in 2020 and due to develop a brand-new technology-focused STEM Centre for 2024.  This exciting and innovative new learning environment is located within the grounds of the current college site, so remains convenient for public transport links – it is adjacent to the A316 and just a short walk from Twickenham rail station and a number of regular London bus routes.
