Programme Leader - Functional Skills English (Maternity Cover)

12 month maternity cover contract

An exciting opportunity has arisen within the English department, for a Programme Leader of Functional Skills.

The successful candidate will lead a teaching team which supports, 16-19 study programmes (including T Levels) as well as adult full time and part time courses. 

You will be involved in designing and delivering a curriculum that challenges and develops the right knowledge, skills and behaviours of our learners, enabling them to achieve a career or higher education in their chosen field.

You will need to be organised, innovative, a strong performance manager and have the drive to further support our development in support all of our students to achieve.

If you are passionate about sharing your knowledge and skills, developing and leading a team of outstanding Programme Tutors, and have a strong track record of providing outstanding teaching and learning opportunities within a career focused curriculum, then this is the ideal job for you!

This is a full-time maternity leave position working 37 hours per week, which will include a teaching commitment of up to 12 hours per week.
