Student Experience and Pastoral Coach ESOL

The Opportunity

This is a great opportunity to join a vibrant team within the College, and you will see first-hand the positive impact you make on the lives of our students. You’ll work alongside the Lexis Academy to identify students in need of pastoral support and also work directly with the students and their next of kin with a specific focus on attendance, behaviour and helping to overcome the challenges ESOL learners face.

Within this role you’ll be doing things such as developing and delivering a range of extracurricular activities with the Lexis team which develop students’ social skills and enable them to discover their character; ensuring that every student achieves their potential through the provision of targeted support and intervention; and supporting students’ enrolment, induction, performance and progression to positive destinations.

About you

You’ll have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, and hold a level 3 in coaching and/or mentoring or a be willing to work towards this with our support. To succeed in this role it’s important that you have great organisational skills and are competent using IT systems, including the MS Office suite.
