Wigston Part Time Receptionist 25 hours

The Position: We’re looking for a Part Time Receptionist – Customer Services and Support

25 hours per week – Part Time, Term Time only- 40 weeks per year -  Wigston campus

Requirements for the role:

  • Experience working in similar role.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • The ability to use own initiative, and to work well within a team.
  • The ability to remain calm when working in a busy environment.
  • To be competent using Microsoft packages
  • Commitment to teamwork, within the Community Partnerships and Student Experience Directorate and across the wider college.
  • To be available to work one evening per week up to 8pm

Responsibilities for the role:

  • To provide a courteous and effective front of house service, ensuring the area is presentable, promoting the highest possible standards in customer care and equal opportunities for the benefit of all students and visitors to the organisation.
  • To liaise with staff, students, and other customers of the College in a professional manner. Utilising the telephone system, computer systems or dealing with individuals face to face as appropriate.
  • To operate the college switchboard, ensuring that all incoming calls are answered promptly and forwarded to the relevant department in a timely manner.
  • Take an active role in Safeguarding and Health & Safety, reporting issues to the appropriate personnel.

The Location: The position is based at Wigston campus, though cover may be required at other campuses on occasion.
