About the role

As part of Buxton and Leek College, our Apprenticeships Hub offers Operational Departmental Manager Apprenticeships at Level 5!  We are offering an exciting opportunity for a motivated and proactive individual to join the Hub as a Operational/Departmental Manager - Lecturer who will be teaching the Level 5 ILM qualifications.

You'll support the practical technical and vocational learning for our apprentices, supporting their individual learning needs and monitoring their progress both in the workplace and on our College sites. You'll plan the delivery of the apprenticeship standards, assessing and preparing the apprentices for their End Point Assessment. You will also fully engage with and carry out all safeguarding responsibilities as required by the role.

The ideal candidate will have Industrial expertise in the Business/Management sector alongside a relevant vocational qualification at Level 5 or higher. We have the opportunity to support individuals who wish to gain their teaching qualification and welcome applications from people looking to start a career in education.

You will be teaching and visiting apprentices in the workplace therefore will require a driving licence to undertake this role. Actual hours and days will be described in a ‘Schedule of Work’.
