About the Role

We are looking for teaching staff to cover our Hair and Beauty Courses based at Harrogate College. Working on a flexible basis, you will be responsible for delivering and facilitating learning across the College. We are looking for someone who can encourage, inspire and develop knowledge for students in both our 16-19 provision and a range of adult learners too. Based on site at Hornbeam Park, Harrogate College has excellent modern facilities and provides a professional and friendly environment to study and work.

What You Will Do

  • Prepare for and deliver classes to student groups, with clear intentions and well-defined outcomes.
  • Deliver taught classes in our well equipped College and workshops 
  • Manage student progress and achievement 
  • Evaluate students' work and provide timely, constructive feedback.
  • Participate in personal development, working to develop your own professional knowledge and skill set.

  • A creative, enthusiastic, committed and forward thinking practitioner.
  • The ideal candidate will work well as part of a team and be resilient, adaptable and enthusiastic with experience of the industries.
  • You are student focused, building a supportive and creative environment for students to develop their practical skills.
  • We are looking for someone who has excellent communication skills and would be happy working with people as well as being able to work independently when required.
