UHI Perth is one of Scotland’s leading Colleges of Further and Higher Education, and a large partner in the University of the Highlands and Islands.

An exciting position is available to join one of our most successful areas within the department; Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation.

Our BSc (H) Sports Therapy and Rehabilitation, HNC Soft Tissue Therapy and HND Sports Therapy are Scottish Massage Therapists Organisation (SMTO) accredited and are taught in our brand-new sports injury clinic, within our Academy of Sport and Wellbeing (ASW).  The ASW is complete with 400 seat international standard (6 court) sports hall, two gyms, Strength and Conditioning suite, fitness studio with Queenax functional training system and sport and exercise research lab.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a dynamic department that delivers a range of courses at undergraduate level as well as offering full pathways across a range of sport and fitness programmes that makes us a truly tertiary department.  Much of our success is aligned to our extensive partnership work across the sector, including SportScotland, a range of National Governing Bodies, Chartered Institute for the management of Sport and Physical Activity (CIMSPA), Active IQ, SMTO as well as a full range of local employers and clubs.  Relevant to this opportunity has been the recent development of an increased capacity Sports Injury Training Clinic, with this role offering the opportunity to help shape this.

Applicants should have demonstrable sector experience that is consistent with our diverse portfolio of undergraduate courses. They should hold relevant qualifications and have experience as a professional practitioner. We are particularly interested in individuals who will be able to support the departments aspirations around Masters level development within this area.

Closing Date: 23:45 on Thursday 15 February 2024

Interview date to be confirmed.

This post undertakes regulated work with children and a Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) Scheme check is required.  A check will be made against the list of those barred from working with children.
