Animal Collection Technician

22.5 hours per week (Friday, Saturday and Sunday)

Over 3000 full time Further and Higher education students study at our attractive rural campus in Gloucestershire. 

We are looking for a part-time Animal Technician with experience of working with a range of animals.  Your role will entail a range of activities required to ensure highest standards of animal welfare and provision of exceptional student experience. You will also be responsible for the welfare and management of animals within the Animal Collection, checking stock, feeding/watering, checking the health of animals and administering medication. You may be required to undertake other roles and responsibilities linked to this depending on any issues that may arise.

A relevant HND or equivalent, experience in an animal establishment, good working knowledge of animal husbandry and an ability to handle a range of animals is essential for this role.

This is a part time post working 22.5 hours per week to cover every Friday, Saturday and Sunday. You will be working independently and therefore you will have full responsibility for the animal collection as well as supervision of any volunteers and work experience students.
