In this challenging and rewarding role based within our Learning Support team, you will work directly with young people (Year 9 upwards) with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities, and their parents/carers, to enable them to make an effective transition to Uxbridge College. Reporting to the Head of Learning Support, you will also take a lead on all administrative duties for receiving and processing of learners with an Education, Health and Care Plan (EHCP), including leading the EHCP Consultation process and Annual Review meetings. You would also take a lead with the administration of the Learning Support Funding budget for Element 2 and Element 3.

You will need to have experience of working with children or young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities in an educational environment, an understanding of the SEND code of practice and will have some knowledge and experience of high needs funding. You will also have experience of working in partnership with external agencies such as local authorities and schools.   Together with your excellent communication and interpersonal skills, you will be able to build effective working relationships and meet the needs of a diverse range of people. You should also have strong IT, organisational and administrative skills, and be able to prioritise a busy workload effectively.
