The new Principal will give strategic, academic, spiritual and operational leadership to Westminster College. They will be deeply committed to the vision guiding Westminster as a place of Christian learning, renewal and hospitality and work fruitfully in a number of teams in the College, in the United Reformed Church, its Synods and its other Resource Centres for Learning, and across the Cambridge Theological Federation. They will be passionate about academic excellence in the service of the Church and seek to encourage life-long and whole-church learning where all can grow in faith and service.

The successful candidate will:

  • be committed to delivering a high standard of theological education with passion, creativity and vision;
  • have the capacity to lead, enthuse and develop Westminster’s vibrant and diverse community;
  • show commitment to the Reformed tradition and to the College’s ethos of equality, diversity and inclusion;
  • understand the changing needs and mission of the Church;
  • work as team leader and team builder in order to deliver Westminster’s strategic aims;
  • promote the College’s work to denominational and other stakeholders.

Applications are invited from those who are Ministers of Word and Sacraments and/or members of the United Reformed Church or one of its partners in the World Communion of Reformed Churches, the Disciples Ecumenical Consultative Council, the Council for World Mission or the World Council of Churches.

Remuneration: for United Reformed Church ministers, or others with a Certificate of Limited Service, as laid down in the Plan for Partnership; for others, link to an appropriate University of Cambridge academic scale.
