Business Development Consultant

The Role:

The purpose of the role is to actively promote and convert new business development opportunities with employers in the local Oldham area and wider GM region.

The suitable candidate will be required to build close productive relationships with clients to understand and analyse their current and future training needs. Through your findings you will be able to offer appropriate and beneficial solutions from our range of apprenticeships and course offerings.

At ease negotiating and influencing at Executive Level you will have an in-depth knowledge of Apprenticeship funding and a working knowledge of other funding streams and government incentives.

Ensuring the accuracy and quality of your findings you will focus on the College’s apprenticeship growth, maximising sales opportunities, winning new business and maintaining existing accounts.

Your ability to identify, recommend and deliver on clients’ needs, will be central to your success

A self-starter, you will be resilient and keen to excel in a competitive GM apprenticeship market, maintaining the college’s reputation as the first-choice provider.

The reward package not only includes a competitive base salary with excellent PRP opportunities but you will also benefit from an excellent holiday allowance of 32 days, plus Bank Holidays, plus 2 weeks over the festive period. In addition your pension scheme will attract an excellent employer’s contribution of 16.48%.
