In the role of SENDCo you’ll predominantly be based at Waterfront campus (Huddersfield) and your focus will be on providing high quality LDD support, working with others to ensure appropriate plans and strategies are in place to support from school transitions, into, through and out of college to a positive destination
Your key responsibilities will be line management of staff, deliver training to support students and staff, provide, monitor and act upon data relevant to LDD, the curriculum area and EHCP’s.
Ideally, you’ll have qualification relevant to SEND, Level 3 IAG qualification and relevant HE degree in LDD or be willing to work towards within 2 years with equivalent ability and demonstrable experience of working with young people to provide LDD support. It’s important that you’re able to communicate effectively, engage with young people and demonstrate our College values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence in your role.

Actual salary range:
Business Support Scale 7 – Scale 8 (with relevant qualifications)
Scale 7: £29,130 - £30,981 per annum
Scale 8: £31,867 - £33,693 per annum
