Technician Instructor

The vacancy

We have an exciting opportunity for a Technician/ Instructor to join our team at Doncaster

Technical staff support the curriculum delivery by providing a comprehensive range of specialist services. Staff will undertake assigned tasks and discharge their responsibilities effectively and efficiently. Tasks will be carried out according to:

  • regulatory and legislative requirements to which the college is subject
  • college policies and procedures including equal opportunities and health and safety requirements.

Some of the main tasks that you will be required to do as part of your role is the following 

  • Prepares and issues teaching resources (appropriate to the subject specialism)
  • Maintains the working environment ensuring it is clean, tidy and safe.
  • Place orders for curriculum/subject specific equipment, resources and supplies.
  • Receives stores; issues and distributes materials, stock and equipment.
  • Maintains stock records and assists with stocktaking.
  • Undertakes the routine maintenance and preparation of equipment.
  • Reports defects.
  • Attends meetings as requested.
