The Foundation Studies curriculum is a well-established area of the College. Included in this area is support for full time students with a range of learning difficulties and disabilities.
As Course Team Leader - Foundation Studies, would co-ordinate and teach on the work-related and Functional Skills curriculums for students with learning difficulties and/or disabilities, in both Skills for Independence and Work and Access to FE areas providing leadership for Foundation School staff working with students on employability related programmes.
You should possess a degree and an advanced level teaching qualification recognised by the FE sector, or be willing to work towards one. You will have recent teaching experience in the area of Foundation Learning. You will need to be conversant with current provision for students with Learning Difficulties and Disabilities, together with a good understanding of EHCPs and the SEND Code of Practice.
