Practical Instructor – Animal Welfare

We are looking for candidates with experience in the Animal Welfare Industry to deliver practical sessions to our students.

This is a maternity cover post until January 2024.

Experience working in Further Education or Higher Education is an advantage although not essential.

You'll be working across a varied curriculum with groups of students to provide hands on and relevant commercial experiences.

You will play a vital role in ensuring the College is best placed to serve the needs of industry and our students by demonstrating key practical skills including safe animal handling in a range of practical sessions.

You will lead engaging and relevant practical lessons for students on the Level 1 – 3 Animal Welfare courses and assist in developing schemes of work and lesson plans for practical lessons.

Do you have experience in the Animal Welfare Industry?

Do you hold or are you willing to work towards and achieve a Diploma in Teaching and Learning (Certificate in Education) or equivalent?

Do you have experience of handling a range of animals safely?

Are you able to motivate students?
