Teaching Assistant
We have a great opportunity based at our Shuttleworth campus for a Teaching Assistant to become a key member of our Additional Support department.
As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in the success of our students:
- To be provide support to students with the Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) accessing vocational and academic courses across the college from level one to level three.
- To work under the direction of the Additional Learning Support Team Leader and class teacher to implement strategies in line with students’ individual support plan.
- To be an active member of the Additional Learning Support Team and to support the success of students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.
Our ideal candidates will have working knowledge of Special Educational Needs and Disabilities and experience of providing support to young people with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities in an educational or care setting, alongside the following qualifications:
- Educated to Level 2 in Maths and English
- Relevant L3 qualification or willingness to work towards
