Associate - Adult Learning Support Assistant & Cognassist Facilitator
We currently have a great opportunity based at our Bedford College campus for a flexible hourly-paid Associate to become part of our Additional Learning Support department.
As a Adult Learning Support Assistant & Cognassist Facilitator, you will play a role in the success of our students through:
- facilitating and managing adult student cohorts to complete the Cognassist assessment at the start of the learner journey.
- providing monthly support meeting to learners who have matched on the Cognassist assessment recording in the Cognassist platform.
- assist in the development of adult students’ skills and strategies to support their progress and achievement.
- Managing a case load of approximately 300 learners.
Our ideal candidates will have experience of providing support to individuals in an educational setting and strong administrative skills, alongside the following qualifications:
- Level 2 Learner Support Certificate or equivalent or/ willing to work towards
- Educated to Level 2 in Maths and English

What is an Associate?
Associates work on a short term basis as assigned. They teach or provide support services and they work with and are supported by core staff. As an Associate you will be issued with an Associate agreement, under this Agreement period you will be eligible to work on assignments offered to you. Typically an agreement runs from January to December and may be renewed thereafter.
