UHI Inverness are seeking an enthusiastic dedicated member of staff to work with us as a Senior Finance Assistant on a permanent full time basis.

We are currently seeking a Senior Finance Assistant to join us on a permanent basis. This post involves assisting the Finance Leads to provide an excellent service for the College with specific responsibility for accurate processing, reviewing and reporting all financial transactions to provide real time information.
Key Accountabilities
The post holder will be part of a flexible team required to work in any of the following areas of the Finance Team but will be allocated responsibility for first point of contact for financial enquiries from the public (this includes prospective & enrolled students, suppliers, other customers) and staff at all levels locally within the colleges and the UHI Partnership.
- Payroll
- Accounts Payable & Receivable
- Finance Reporting and Other Duties
- Tuition Fees and SITS
Payroll Activities
The payroll activities will include assisting the Payroll Team Leader with calculations, inputting, processing and verification of data for the College Payroll, to ensure compliance with Finance Policies/Procedures and current legislation to accurately pay monthly salaries to approximately 500 staff.
To assist the Payroll Team Leader with Statutory Returns as required.
To support the Payroll Team Leader with HMRC & Pension Year End Returns and Enrolments.
Qualification Requirements:
Membership of the Association of Accounting Technicians or HNC in Accounting or commitment to achieve this; or experienced in working in an accounting/payroll environment.
