Who we need
Supporting the Quality and Standards Manager and Director of Quality, the Apprenticeship Internal Assurance and Standards Manager will be leading the quality processes that drive innovation and excellence across the College’s apprenticeship provision. An exciting opportunity has arisen to join the Quality team at a time of innovation and improvement following our recent OFSTED grading of “GOOD”.
The Apprenticeship Internal Assurance and Standards Manager will play a pivotal role through the use of our quality assurance processes to ensure that our apprenticeship programmes are meeting stakeholder needs and apprentices enjoy outstanding teaching and learning.
You will have extensive experience of delivering excellence in either managing, teaching, assessing or internal quality assuring within apprenticeship standards and be looking to build your experience in a different role. You will also be educated to level 3 or higher in a relevant occupational sector and hold an IQA qualification.
With previous Apprenticeship standards knowledge, you will have experience in undertaking quality reviews/audits across the apprentice journey, providing 1-1 coaching, developing teachers/assessors in assessment and IQA practice.
What you’ll bring
You will have a real passion and enthusiasm for teaching, learning, assessment and internal quality assurance, with the ability to drive continuous improvement in the apprentice journey across the broad provision of apprenticeships. You will be able to effectively evaluate the quality of education and stakeholder feedback to work with the teams to develop quality improvement plans that will help to make a positive impact.
You will effectively lead on the processes and preparations for specified Awarding Organisations and EPA. You will also inspire and engage staff through training with regard to quality processes, initial assessment, on-programme, gateway and readiness for end point assessment requirements to enable them to consistently meet the required standards at all times.
You will be innovative in leading and implementing any new quality initiatives, designed to drive up standards.
Above all excellent communication skills (written and verbal) are must as you will communicate at all levels across the organisation and with all apprenticeship teams and staff involved.
