In the role of Electrical Maintenance Engineer you’ll be based at our main Waterfront Huddersfield campus, but will work across all our sites in Huddersfield and Dewsbury. Your focus will be on the operation of all planned and reactive maintenance activities to keep the College running efficiently and safely.
You will responsible for the highest standard of maintenance which includes; Reactive, Planned Preventative and Scheduled Maintenance Services providing the best possible support at Kirklees College. The role is focused on maintaining buildings, infrastructure and equipment in compliance with statutory standards and approved codes of practice.
Ideally, you’ll be qualified in a relevant electrical Qualification - City & Guilds (or equivalent NVQ level 2), have a time served electrical apprenticeship and up to date knowledge of 18th Edition Wiring Regulation. Be able to troubleshoot, adjust and repair all electrical equipment, components and wiring. Be able to perform preventative maintenance on assigned electrical systems and respond to reactive maintenance requests.

Actual salary: Circa £30,000
