Schools Liaison and Events Officer

About the Role

The Schools Liaison & Events Officer role is a key part of the Group’s provision, within the Learner Recruitment team, coordinating a full range of recruitment activities including internal and external events, whilst building strong relationships with schools and other key external partners.

You will work in partnership with our teaching departments, and with colleagues in the marketing team, to co-ordinate a programme of recruitment activities across the Rotherham borough, Bassetlaw and surrounding areas for various target markets that maximise the opportunities for the Colleges to recruit students in line with the recruitment strategy.

In order to succeed in the role, you will have the ability to be confident while providing excellent information, advice and guidance face-to-face, as well through other various communication methods.

You will…

You will have previous experience of working in a customer facing role, and ideally within an education setting, planning and coordinating events.

You will have excellent communication both written & verbal and ideally have experience delivering talks and/or presentations.

You will hold a Level 2 Literacy and Numeracy (equivalent to GCSE) and either hold or be willing to work towards Level 3 in Information & Guidance.

Department Info

These roles are part of the Learner Recruitment and Events Team, which is led by the Head of Learner Recruitment & Events who will give you direction, but you will plan and prioritise your day to day workload. You will work with the Director of Learner Recruitment & Marketing, Head of Learner Recruitment & Events Manager and Head of Marketing to ensure projects are completed to agreed timescales. The department is critical to effectively promote the College and drive recruitment through a range of recruitment activities and events.
