Information Specialist
DN Colleges are looking to appoint an enthusiastic individual to join a team of innovative, responsive and creative staff who provide cross-College support on the use of learning resources and digital technologies. The successful candidate will provide support to staff and students at the point of enquiry via Information Desks, social media, VLE, eMail, telephone and face-to-face. Support includes delivering workshops, providing one-to-one support and designing content for online delivery. In addition, the successful candidate will be responsible for the management of physical and virtual collections within designated subject disciplines.
The successful candidate will have a degree or postgraduate qualification in Librarianship or Information Science. a research- or library-relevant qualification, excellent communication and customer care skills as well as the ability to work individually and in a team environment. Duties will include providing access to physical and electronic resources and information services for staff and students, promoting services and communicating using a wide range of social media, and maintaining appropriate study environments.

Lets Teach Programme
Let’s Teach The LET’s teach programme supports new members of teaching staff in terms of college systems and key teaching and learning areas including new staff lesson visits and postcard peeps. Each new member of staff has an allocated Lead Practitioner who works closely with them throughout the programme.
Let’s Bloom
The LET’s Bloom Programme aims to connect our experienced and qualified teachers to share best practice and support continued risk-taking as we continue to add depth to our teaching craft. Teachers volunteer on this one year programme, working closely with the Learning Enhancement Team, capturing their experimentation in a journal.
