Kirklees College is a large and successful FE college which was rated ‘Good’ in all areas following our recent Ofsted inspection in March 2023. Due to significant growth of the department on our applied science pathways we are looking to recruit a lecturer with the ability to enthuse, motivate and inspire every learner whether during the day in our 16-18 classes or in the evening with our adult and community learners. We welcome applications from newly qualified teachers, or individuals with relevant, non-teaching experience, in particular those from a physics and/or chemistry-related background.

The qualifications necessary for this role are a minimum of Level 2 qualification in literacy and numeracy (e.g. GCSE English and Maths at grade A*- C) and a relevant subject-related or industry qualification at Level 6+. Experience of working in a FE College would be beneficial, as would a L5 Teaching Qualification. We could however support the right candidate to achieve their L5 qualification through our extensive in-house teacher training programmes or apprenticeships.
