In the role of Campus Security Officer, you’ll be based to work between our two campuses in Dewsbury Town Centre, (Pioneer House and Springfield Sixth Form Centre). Your focus will be on making sure that the students, staff and visitors have a safe and welcoming environment in which to study, learn and work. This post is term-time only (36 weeks of term, plus 2 additional weeks either side of this).

Your key responsibilities will include supporting and taking direction from the Security Team Leader in the provision of a day-to-day security support, servicing all college buildings on a daily basis.

Duties range from operation of CCTV control, internal and external patrols on all sites, meeting and greeting as students, staff and visitors arrive, monitoring of college car parks / access to the sites.

Ideally, you’ll have demonstrable experience of working across a large, multi-site establishment. It’s important that you’re able to work on your own initiative and be a reliable member of the wider Facilities team. You must be able to communicate in an easy and effective manner with all members of the college community in accurate spoken English, and be able to follow instruction. You will also be required to demonstrate and understand our College values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence in your role.

Hours/weeks/salary: 48 Hours / 38 Weeks
