Exams Officer - NNC

About the Role

The Exams Officer role is a key part of our Management Information Systems (MIS) team and if you wish to be part of a team assisting learners to achieve their potential by providing academic departments and learners with key administrative services and advice, then this could be the perfect role as you’ll develop these skills, whilst working in a College that is committed to investing in the professional development of its workforce.

The role of Exams Officer is critical and you will contribute to the effective delivery of a high-quality examinations service, including the registration, collation and management of all examinations, assessments and certification.  The role requires working closely with the MIS Officer, academic and support staff to ensure that an accurate and responsive service is provided.

The Exams Officer will support the MIS Campus Lead for North Notts College campus in ensuring the service provided is of a high-quality, and efficient part of the wider MIS college service.

Through a proactive, enthusiastic and customer focused approach you will help the College achieve our mission to lead skills and innovation within our communities, through outstanding teaching and learning. Your work will ultimately lead to a high quality, robust and informative examinations and assessment service plus positive development of the College reputation.

You will…

You will have extensive experience of working in a busy administration environment, and ideally within an examinations function.

You will have good knowledge of Awarding Organisations and JCQ, their regulations and procedures and how these work in practice.

You will have qualifications in English and Maths at Level 2 (GCSE), a high-level of attention to details, a strong customer service approach and be able to work efficiently and proactively.

Department Info

The Exams Officer will report to the MIS Campus Lead, working closely with the MIS Officer and MIS Assistants, on a specified campus, which form the Management Information Systems Department.

You will work closely with colleagues from other internal departments as well as learners, invigilators and awarding bodies as and when required.
