About the role
We are looking to recruit an engineering teacher to join the apprenticeship team at Nuclear Skills Academy based in Derby. This role is part of Buxton & Leek College, the further education college within the University of Derby. We welcome applications from candidates with engineering industry experience looking for sessional (hourly paid) work in teaching. We are looking to recruit people that can cover short periods of time/Ahoc working.
We are looking for candidates with experience in the following pathways
- Machining pathway
- Maintenance pathway
The role will be working with the current teaching team supporting the Rolls Royce apprentices in practical workshops and classrooms.
You will need to hold a relevant teaching qualification or be willing to work towards one. We can offer support to those looking to start their careers in teaching, together with a minimum level 3 qualification in a Engineering subject area. You should have demonstrable experience within the Engineering industry. If you have an assessor and/or verifier award this would also be considered.
