About us:

Avaliable Positions: 

  • Fixed-Term, 1 year:
  1. 20 – 25 hours per week (term-time, 36 weeks per annum)
  2. 25 – 30 hours per week (term-time, 36 weeks per annum)
  • £11.25 - £11.69 per hour
  • Across various College sites

Key Responsibilities:

  • To provide one-to-one or small group support under lecturer direction as appropriate in the classroom setting.
  • To assist with the development of learners’ literacy and numeracy skills.
  • To assist with the pastoral care needs of learners and to direct learners to other college support mechanisms as necessary.
  • To provide learners with help in understanding oral and written instruction.
  • To assist with the co-ordination of learners’ work, record keeping and progress through liaison with lecturing and support staff at all levels within the College.
  • To attend and participate in learner reviews and team meetings as required.
  • To support learners with the use of assistive technology and specialist software and actively promote its use.

About you:

  • Maths and English GCSEs: A - C Grade or equivalent  
  • Experience of working with young people in a similar job role
  • Good understanding of safeguarding and supporting learners with additional needs
  • Confident, resilient, excellent communication and interpersonal skills

  • Mynychu a chymryd rhan mewn adolygiadau dysgwyr a chyfarfodydd yn ôl yr angen.
  • Helpu dysgwyr i ddefnyddio technoleg gynorthwyol a meddalwedd arbenigol a hybu eu defnydd yn weithredol.
