Lecturer in Plumbing

We currently offer an excellent opportunity at our Incuba, Dunstable campus, for a Plumbing Lecturer to join our esteemed Construction trades department as a crucial team member.

In this role as a Plumbing Lecturer, your responsibilities will encompass various key areas. You will be responsible for preparing, delivering, and assessing plumbing and heating modules across different courses and levels. Moreover, your proactive contribution to the development of the Centre's curriculum will be invaluable as you incorporate innovative teaching strategies to enhance the learning experience for our students.

As a supportive mentor, you will guide and assist students, ensuring they achieve success and reach their full potential. Managing students' learning journeys will be a vital aspect of your role, as you strive to provide a high-quality educational experience that fosters growth and excellence.

The role of Plumbing Lecturer requires candidates who meet specific criteria. We seek individuals with practical experience in teaching and assessing Level 1, 2, and 3 Plumbing programs. Additionally, expertise and up-to-date knowledge of various Plumbing programs, such as 6189, 6035, 7202, 8202, 9189, and 9074, are essential.

The ideal candidates should hold qualifications such as a Level 2 NVQ or Advanced Craft qualification in Plumbing and Heating, alongside PGCE or Cert Ed or a willingness to achieve.  Candidates with A1, D32/33, or QCF Assessing qualification will be highly regarded.

Furthermore, possessing industrial qualifications in Un-vented Hot water, Water Regs, and Energy efficiency will be seen as advantageous attributes. • 14 hours per week (0.37838 FTE) /52 weeks per year
• 45 days per annum (plus public holidays), pro rata for part-time (35 days if not Teacher Qualified as a different salary band and terms will apply whilst you complete the qualification alongside your employment)
