Lecturer in Public Services

We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our Public Service team; the successful candidate will deliver Level 2 and Level 3 Public Service qualifications, units ranging from criminology to understanding discipline in public services. You will have extensive industry experience of working within one or more Public Service.

As part of the role, you will be involved in interviewing, guidance, initial assessment, selection, and induction of students to learning programmes. You will be required to work as part of the course team in the development, design, review and evaluation of the curriculum and associated learning materials. You will also be required to take on personal tutor duties as part of this role and experience in this is desirable.

You should hold as a minimum a Level 3 subject specialist qualification or higher when necessary to teach the subject area at the required level and, relevant industry experience in the subject specialism. The ideal candidate will have teaching experience and ideally hold a teaching qualification. BTEC knowledge is also preferred although both of these components are not essential as the College will support you in achieving this as part of your professional development.

In addition to the teaching, you will be required to include preparation, classroom delivery and marking, and to deliver tutorial activity related to programmes of study.
