Lecturer in English x 2 posts – Fixed Term Contract until 28th June 2024 - Based at Huddersfield & Dewsbury

Hours/weeks: 37 hours per week, 52 weeks per year

Actual salary range: £25,468 - £35,187 depending on experience

In the role of English Lecturer, you could be based at any of our sites (Huddersfield & Dewsbury) as required, and your focus will be on delivering high quality English lessons to a variety of learners, including school leavers and mature students.

Your key responsibilities will be to teach and develop programmes of study to meet the particular needs of our learners. The successful candidate will create a positive classroom environment by engaging learners and challenging behaviour issues positively and with consideration. We aim to help our students develop self-regulation and confidence in their abilities as they prepare for their next step.

Ideally, you’ll have a qualification in English or related subject area and demonstrable experience and/or training in teaching. It’s important that you’re able to communicate effectively, engage with young people and demonstrate our College values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence in your role.
