The Role: 

We are looking for an experienced, qualified, Fine Art tutor, with an emphasis on drawing and painting, to inspire and provide a transformative education to our adult learners (19+) from in and around London. You will be responsible for providing teaching, learning and assessments on our Level 2 UAL Diploma in Art and Design on Mondays from 11 September 2023.

You will be responsible for delivering all elements of the program, providing support and guidance to the learners, ensuring they are challenged, inspired, complete their work in a timely manner, and excel in achievement.

  • Planning, organising and delivering exceptional teaching activities, ensuring every student receives the highest quality teaching, learning and feedback, successfully preparing them for roles in industry.
  • Creating and delivering industry relevant module content, in line with the course and wider programme objectives.
  • Ensuring an ‘outstanding’ teaching and learning experience including Individual Learning Plans and quality assurance implementation and feedback.
  • Supporting the fine art curriculum where required for example, course advice and guidance for prospective learners, open days, end of year show.

About You:

  • Relevant experience and knowledge of contemporary fine art practice, with an emphasis on drawing and painting.
  • Experience of working with/teaching adult learners is highly desirable, as well having your own art practice.
  • Level 4 or above qualification in the subject area
  • A recognised teaching qualification, or working towards one
  • Commitment to outstanding teaching and the learner experience
  • Commitment to your own professional development
