Hourly Paid Lecturer in IT
Please note, this an hourly paid contract which means that specific days and hours cannot be guaranteed - they are offered on a casual, ad hoc basis to fit the needs of the service and so may vary.
We are currently in search of enthusiastic and motivated individuals to teach on an hourly paid basis as part of the IT Department. Working as part of the team, you will be required to prepare, deliver and assess both theory and practical sessions, so you will have substantial experience of using initiative, creativity and judgement when delivering activities in an area that fits with the Curriculum.
We ask that you hold a relevant degree or equivalent industry experience, together with a PGCE certificate, or be prepared to obtain this. You should also have knowledge of curriculum delivery for IT FE and HE qualification standards from Level 1 to Level 3.
We ask that you have a good understanding of core IT topics such as programming, networking, hardware, cyber security, databases and games design with a specialism in one or more of these areas, and be able to relate this to a range of learners with different levels of ability.
If you feel you could contribute to the teaching and learning within this field, we want to hear from you!
