Programme Tutor - Transitions & Functional Skills

This is a maternity cover contract for the academic year

The Role:

As a Programme Tutor you will play a key role in shaping the direction of our students and College. You will be responsible for a caseload of 16-24-year-old Foundation Students, inspiring them to learn and achieve their goals through the delivery of an innovative and engaging curriculum which includes entry level English and maths.  You will be joining a highly experienced faculty team that are passionate about their students, their achievements and their future. You will be involved in facilitating smooth transitions between academic levels and helping students navigate the challenges of transitioning to college or career. This is an excellent opportunity to have real impact in a College, which is moving at pace with strong support from its Senior Leadership team.

You must have a minimum GCSE grade 4*-C in English and maths, ideally be educated to degree level or above, have a teaching qualification and extensive experience of working with challenging young people from a range of backgrounds.  Our Skills & Employability Faculty is highly inclusive and provides life changing opportunities for its students, you will need to demonstrate a strong track record of working in this type of environment. Experience of working in the FE sector is desirable.
