In the role of Placement Engagement Officer, you will work across all our Huddersfield and Dewsbury Centres (with hybrid working on occasion) and your focus will be to proactively generating sufficient high-quality placements and other employer lead work experience activities to support students to develop their work skills and raise career aspirations. A driving license and access to a car is essential for this role.

Your key responsibilities will be to liaise with the Work Experience Coaches to identify gaps in provision, proactively generating new business leads, and secure and maintain a wide range of placement and work experience opportunities to meet the needs of students’ study programmes.

You’ll have a track record of generating new business leads through targeted telesales and networking activity, and the ability to develop and maintain quality employer and partnership relationships. You’ll be experienced in driving performance to achieve KPI targets and be confident in using IT systems, specifically CRM databases to support this. It’s important you have the ability to communicate effectively across all areas of the college, build effective working relationships and provide first class customer service. Due to the nature of our work, it’s essential you’re committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults.
