Location: Yorkshire with travel between all college sites and across the area

We have a fantastic opportunity for a Director of Quality and High Performance to join our friendly Quality and High-Performance team.

The Heart of Yorkshire Education Group was newly formed in March 2022 from the existing Wakefield and Selby colleges. The Group is comprised of three colleges situated within West and North Yorkshire. Castleford college, Wakefield college and Selby college.

The Group is an inclusive college group offering a high-quality teaching journey to 14–16-year-olds, 16 –18-year-olds, adults (including Access to HE), Higher Education, Apprenticeships, and Higher Apprenticeship provision.

Building on the good strengths of the colleges, the Group is keen to now move to an outstanding Ofsted position.

The Director of Quality and High Performance will report directly to the Executive Director of Curriculum and Quality. The successful person will head up a positive quality and high-performance team: covering all aspects of teaching, learning and development (including a focus on digital and sustainable learning).

The role involves:

-Providing leadership on all aspects of teaching, learning and assessment across the Heart of Yorkshire Education Group and Externally.

-Advising on the implementation of new initiatives aimed at raising the effectiveness of pedagogy across the Group

-Taking a lead on preparing the Group for future Ofsted scrutiny

We’re specifically looking for the following experience/skills:

-Experience of working in a senior quality role and delivering at least good outcomes

-Experience of developing and implementing robust performance management strategies

-A track record of leading the design, implementation and monitoring of quality systems and processes that underpin positive outcomes for students.
