In the role of Maintenance Engineer (Plumbing) you’ll be based at our main Waterfront, Huddersfield campus but work across all our sites in Huddersfield and Dewsbury. Your focus will be on the operation of all planned and reactive maintenance activities to keep the College running efficiently and safely.

You will responsible for the highest standard of maintenance which includes Reactive, Planned Preventative and Scheduled Maintenance Services providing best possible support at Kirklees College. The role is focused on maintaining buildings, infrastructure and equipment in compliance with statutory standards and approved codes of practice.

Ideally, you’ll be qualified in a relevant plumbing Qualification - City & Guilds (or equivalent NVQ level 2) and have previous trade experience in the relevant technical field and a knowledge of hot & cold-water systems, Calorifiers, Boilers, Legionella Control and general plumbing services.

It’s important that you have strong communication skills, with demonstrated problem-solving skills and demonstrate our College values of Kindness, Unity and Excellence in your role.
