In the role of Personal Development Coach you’ll be based at one of the college sites, but flexibility to travel to all centres is required and your focus will be on delivering the college tutorial personal development programme, through facilitation of 1 hour group sessions with students Your key responsibilities will be providing effective personal development opportunities for students in a group setting to support success and progression. You will utilise student data, curriculum input, and local and national information to develop tutorial resources for a range of topics with one key specialist area, such as Democracy and Human Rights, RSHE, Equity and Inclusion, mental health, safeguarding, British Values. Ideally, you’ll have previous experience of working with 16 - 19 year olds, including ‘hard to reach’ students who have barriers to meeting expectations of behaviour and will be able to understand the range of approaches and techniques needed to engage.
