Managing Director - West London Institute of Technology Business Growth, Skills and Partnerships

HRUC (Harrow Richmond and Uxbridge Colleges) is a newly merged College Group, bringing together Richmond Upon Thames College and HCUC (2017 merger of Harrow College and Uxbridge College) in January 2023. 

As a newly merged large further education college group, we are a hugely ambitious organisation with very high expectations. Based in the London boroughs of Harrow, Hillingdon and Richmond upon Thames, we have five campuses at Harrow on the Hill, Harrow Weald, Hayes, Uxbridge and Richmond upon Thames.

Reporting to the Principal of Harrow College, you will be responsible and accountable for the identification, creation and attraction of both government funded and commercial opportunities that drive revenue growth and deliver sustainable profitability, through highly innovative and customer centric solutions. Within HRUC and the West London Institute of Technology (WLIoT) technical sectors, you will have an oversight of the WLIoT, lead on the skills agenda, the College’s response to this in terms of development and implementation of an innovative technical curriculum, and the College’s involvement and engagement of external partnerships.

We wish to appoint someone with the following:

• Experience of curriculum and business planning and sound knowledge of funding streams within the FE sector
• Knowledge and understanding of the enhanced inspection (Skills) agenda
• Knowledge and understanding of Institutes of Technology
• Proven experience of managing cross-college projects within timescales and budget
• Demonstrable experience of achieving income growth
• A strong track record of effective change management
• Innovative and able to transform ideas into action for change
• Track record of building and nurturing stakeholder relationships
