Lecturers - Uniformed Services - 1 full time post; 1 part time post (18 hours per week)
Uniformed Services at Uxbridge College is a highly successful area of provision, producing above benchmark success rates and providing excellent training opportunities for young people seeking a career in the Uniformed Public Services. Our students are highly motivated and we create a disciplined learning environment that prepares them for a career in the Police, Armed Services, Fire Brigade, Ambulance and Security Services.
We are looking for enthusiastic and committed professionals (one full time post, one part time post) to teach on a range of programmes in Policing and the Uniformed Services, including levels 1-4. The roles will involve attending outdoor and residential activities, and delivering / supporting some fitness training. You will also need to be able to drive a minibus or be prepared to undertake relevant training.
You will need to be qualified to a minimum of Level 3 in a relevant subject area, and have work experience in the Police, other emergency services or the Armed Services. Some teaching/training experience is desirable, but more important is the ability to communicate effectively and be able to engage young people aged 16-19. If you are not a trained teacher, the College will fully fund and support you to obtain this qualification.
