We are seeking to appoint a committed sports professional to supervise the running of our sports facilities and to develop opportunities for students cross-college sport and extra-curricular activities. You will be responsible for supervising the running of the Uxbridge gym, sports hall and outdoor sports spaces, as well as being able to deliver a range of fitness classes for staff and students. In addition you will take a lead on the development of opportunities for students to engage in physical activities by accessing funding through various participation programmes and NGB engagement.
Educated to a minimum of Level 3 and Personal Trainer qualified, you should have experience and knowledge of working in a gym / sport facilities environment. You should also have a sound knowledge of the sport and fitness industry and ideally some experience of working with governing / sporting bodies. You will also need to be willing to undertake First Aid training and become a First Aider within the College. You will have excellent organisational skills, be flexible, pro-active with good communication skills and will be able to interact well with FE students, staff and external organisations. The role will involve some requirement for driving the College minibus and therefore applicants must hold a full, clean driving licence and be willing to undertake minibus driving training.
