We are looking for an enthusiastic individual to join our construction team as a Technician for Furniture and support a range of workshop activities.

This is a part-time role of 18.75 hours per week.

You will prepare work areas and materials for practical classes and maintain accurate stock levels. In addition you will ensure the resources and tools are stored securely and work in line with current legislation, codes of practice and College policies. You will support students in the completion of their practical work under the direction of members of the teaching staff and be committed to promoting the college’s commitment to best practice in equality, diversity & inclusion.

You will have previous experience of working with Furniture. You will hold a trade based qualification and be able to evidence strong communication skills. You will have good numeracy and literacy skills and be prepared to use basic IT systems although training will be provided if necessary. You will have a keen eye for health and safety and have a genuine commitment to high standards.
